In the Flesh: L.A. (the West coast version of In The Flesh founded by Rachel Kramer Bussel) is a monthly reading series held the second Wednesday of every month at Hustler Hollywood, and features the city's best journalists, authors, scriptwriters and more offering their torrid tales for your entertainment and titillation.

From secret dirty confessions to unique sexual insights (and even the odd embarrassment or two), these writers get naked on the page and will make you lust after them and their words. Readers have included Willam Belli, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Maxim Jakubowski, Stan Kent, Shana Ting Lipton, Jenny Block, Regina Lynn, Rob Roberge, Eugene S. It’s the month of ghosts and ghouls… so what better time to discuss fears? Our fearsome fivesome of readers are Kathleen Bradean (She’s On Top), who writes with an erotic edge; Saryn Chorney (New York Post), who dares to go there; Jolene Hui (Open For Business), who tell the tales others won’t; and Jeff Leavell (Velvet Mafia), whose words will haunt you. Special guest host Stan Kent will also be on hand to guide you through the evening, and share some of his own torrid tales. Author’s books will also be on sale.

Saryn Chorney is an entertainment journalist, media consultant and comedy writer. Most recently the Dating and Weddings columnist at the New York Post, Saryn was formerly the features editor at Usmagazine.com, as well as a freelance correspondent for People Magazine. She's written entertainment news, celebrity gossip, fashion, beauty, nightlife, travel and pop culture pieces for the New York Post, Paper Magazine, People.com, iVillage.com, Clubplanet.com, Orato.com, Madatoms.com and more. Previously the editor-in-chief of Alloy.com, she's contributed to teen web portals like Seventeen.com, Cosmogirl.com and Ellegirl.com. Additionally, Saryn is a video hostess for Productfiend.com, a Conde Nast-produced beauty and skin care blog. She graduated with a degree in Communications and Film Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Basically, she's the kind of chick who seems to have her shit together, but is really a hypomanic nymphet on the sly. Jolene Hui (www.jolenehui.com) is a writer of literary and erotic fiction and about anything else her fingers feel like typing. She's been known to write a horror column for The Flesh Farm and a hockey column for Inside Hockey. One of Tonto Books' first authors, her literary fiction has been published in their Tonto Short Stories, Tonto Christmas Stories, and More Tonto Short Stories anthologies. She's also been published by a variety of newspapers, magazines, websites, Cleis Press, Pretty Things Press and Alyson Books. Her short play "Addendum" was produced as part of the Northpark Playwright Festival in 2003 and her short play Feather and Magazines premiered as part of the San Diego Actors Alliance Festival in 2004. She still holds onto her dream that she will one day be the mother of a Standard Poodle and frequently daydreams about cheesecake. She is based in Los Angeles.


Stan Kent is a chameleon hair colored former nightclub owning rocket scientist author of hot words and cool stories. A dedicated voyeur and world traveler, Stan has penned nine original, unique and very naughty full-length novels including the Shoe Leather series and dozens of quickie reads on everything from spanking with shoes to cupcake sex to voyeuristic orgies to techno-rave group spankings on the dance floor. Jeff Leavell lives in Silverlake with his dog Maggie. He was nominated for a Pushcart award, been published in numerous publications, and is working on his Novel, Extinction. Jeff was also hired to write a horror screenplay called "Thurman Grimm". He is at work on various other projects.
